Kosei can actually make up for the missing violins. This sounds almost like a full orchestra

Used to listen to this song when i was young without knowing the title of the song. :)

I play Bass Clarinet and this piece is just amazing I love these guys and love the solos!

Now I wish I was in TKWO... I'd just love a solo on my bass clarinet like that...

Seems like you've got a pretty good setup. Those crystal mouthpieces always intrigued me. Thought they were more show than anything. I'm glad I hear otherwise.

Lets see, for my soprano I use both a Fobes Cicero 13 and a Kasper Goldbek Chicago (made of gold, heavy). Bass I use a Kasper extra open, both of the Kaspers are from the origional maker from the 30's-40's. Clark Fobes is pretty good, I have a friend who's just got his basters on bass telling me the Pomarcio crystal mouthpieces are amazing too. I find my Fobes has low resistance, makes it VERY easy to get those high notes to ring true. I like my Kasper because I find it richer on the low end.

I wish you had said that to me a couple of months ago when I was talking with Dr. Scatterday of Eastman. I currently am focusing my attention on soprano clarinet. The professors I've talked to here suggested it and said its best to develop those skills as well. For the bass mouthpiece, I found a Forbes San Francisco mouthpiece at school. I was truly shocked because thats $300 mouthpiece. I haven't gotten to try it out yet cause I don't have my bass atm. Do you think it could be the real deal?

hmmmm, I'd see about checking some of the major conservatories, just try and send an email to the secretary of the band department (or just email their head director). Some of these arrangements only float about the college level. If you want to upgrade your sound, see about a Clark Fobes mouthpiece (google his name, he has a website). His mouthpieces will run you up past $150 but they're good for anyone who aspires to do their best. I'm personally saving the $800 for a Behn mouthpiece...
