very smart move. it annoys the fuck outta me lol everytime some ppl think they can auto find work over there. the fact that ur company had japan connections, thats the best way. and u didnt make jet a career lol
-
out of curiosity were you working for a big 4 firm? i have a job offer to start next year (just finished my degree). i also have a master scholarship next year so am considering that then doing the JET and seeing what i can do after. i really want to do it before starting my job.
-
That's awesome. Can you link me to all those videos you talked about? Like Japanese learning and how to work in Japan??
-
Dear Stu, may I ask you how much English/Japanese (in %) did your finance job require? I am a professional working in financial planning and trying to sketch out a vague but big dream to work and live in Japan for a few years. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

Stu: You have a very nice pleasant, appealing video appearance. : )
-
I saw your salary man vid. Does the average salary man really work 6 days a week? or was that some optional overtime?
-
why you gotta be like that? - From Idaho.
-
Ok here is a question. Decent salary?
-
Remind me of gigguk

Stu, i read that the benchmark in Japan is the University of Tokyo graduation and the rest is underestimated, i like architecture that's why i found Tokyo videos....i think Tokyo is better than UK, so Stu looks like a nice guy got a nice job . You may need some interior design in that apartment ...i would start with the background of the vídeos, that wall can handle something that don't compromise the landlord....like a picture of your university diploma, a TV...

Hey Stu, great video. One query though; how did you go from JET to a finance job? Is your college degree in that field?
-
Hi Stu! I really liked your video on the week of a Japanese salaryman and have some quick questions on it. I am interested in pursuing a finance related job in Japan and kind of scared of the long hours. I am just wondering what kind of financial service industry are you working in (accounting, banking, or something else) and how the hours are like in non-busy seasons. Thank you!

Stu I have a question. I am saving money for japanese language school or college or how do you call it... and soon I'll have enough money to pay for a year of studying and living in Japan. What do you think are the chances that I will find job (NONE teaching) during that one year considering that I already know and understand some basic japanese and and can write and read hiragana and katakana and some kanji. I am asking because I need to know if I should save more money or not. Is really one year enough to find a job so that I can stay and live there? Thanks ahead for your response. ^^

Do you go to Japanese concerts? If so, what bands have you seen performing live and were you amazed? haha Keep up the cool vids!

I'm doing a cultural exchange straight out of uni and then hopefully going onto the JET programme afterwards.
I'm a bit worried doing so will leave my career prospects in the lurch while on my CV it seems like i was off having fun,
Got quite a few questions, you dont have to answer them all!
How did you land your job whilst still abroad? I know as well that you and most people in japan dont like to talk about what they do in work over the internet too much but what sort of industry are you in if you dont mind me asking?
Before you went to JET how good was your japanese language ability? And how was that affected being back home afterwards? (I presume thats the uk as to me it sounds like ou dont have an accent :P)
Also what camera do you use now and how easy was it to get into making videos?
Just found your channel so im gonna have a look at your vids but they seem fun and interesting, keep it up man! -
Hey Stu!
Good job doing these fun videos, I really like it. I live in Brazil and I am studying japanese language and literature in my university right now, and I know how you feel about loving japanese language. Keep the good work and good luck going through that busy season. Bye!
