-
Why do the 'fans' always say...'she wasn't well here'....'she had flu here'.....I'm a massive Whitney fan, but I'm under no illusions to the real 'problem'..
-
Troubles rise!!!!!! Wow
-
she got sick after the 2nd tokyo concert, that's the only reason her voice wasn't as clear
-
She still is SIMPLY THE BEST........
-
Whitney is the only female artist next to maybe Aretha or Tina who has sung ALL OVER THE WORLD for their entire careers. Im not talking about a few concert dates here & there and definitely not lip sync or recorder tracks LIVE SINGING. Im talking about tours that last FOREVER. At some point drugs or not her voice was going to decline.
-
finally somebody with some sense. Its like nobody really gets that she sang LIVE 95% of the time for decades ALL OVER THE WORLD night after night..
-
in 1994, her voice got darker/heavier..it was b/c she developed nodules from not resting her voice on the tour...she still sounded great afterwards, but it wasn't as high as it used to be...but still great! but around 1997..that's when u started to worry..there were days where she sounded great and they were days she sounded horrible around that time...it just shows that she's human...i kind of like her with the flaws

As you can see from my three comment timeline of Whitney's voice, she had a good period of 9 or so years with a perfect voice. Her voice really didn't get bad until 2000/2001 or so.
-
Whitney's Timeline Cont... 1999-2000, definitely decreased abilities by this time, but could still sing very well for MLIYL tour. 2001, drugs made her skinny, voice not so good anymore, 60% 2002-2003, quiet years, albums were still good, voice shows fatigue, 60% 2004, excellent year, voice regained, tour was good 2005-2008, quiet, voice lost 2009-2010, voice was definitely not amazing, good at some concerts, bad at others, abilities decreased 2011-2012, some abilities regained, Ok, Feb 2012:(
-
Yes, Whitney could definitely still sing at this point. This is my timeline of her voice. 1985-1990 Perfect 1991 Perfect, voice changes from touring 1992-1993 Perfect 1994 Perfect, showing very few signs of fatigue 1995 95%, more signs of fatigue 1996 90%, definitely signs of fatigue, more at certain concerts, some inability to hit certain notes 1997, voice was nearly perfect, sounded like Bodyguard era, a few OK concerts 1998, definitely decrease in ability, 80%
-
BTW i believe whitney sang count on me FIRST, then left the stage to cece who sang in return, and came back to sing i love the lord
-
none of the concert she did in 1996 was that vocally good. people say her voice declined in 1994, that's a lie. whitney's voice didn't really decline until 1999. when properly trained (like in this video) she could still sing like 1992. and even in 1999 she could still hit those notes, but she was using bad techniques
-
The concert was nothing short than Spectacular!!!
-
Whitney could still sang at this point. Her voice did change quite a bit after the Bodyguard tour, but there are several reasons for that. She just had a baby which lowers a womans' voice, she had just finished a tour (IYBTWT 91) before filming The Bodyguard which was 101 dates, the Bodyguard tour was over 120 shows as well. Try singing I Will Always Love You, I Have Nothing, Greatest Love of All, I Wanna Dance With Somebody over 120 times and tell me your voice isn't gonna change.

All the man I need is missing! 42:20~

I like her CeCe Winans together! :)
-
voice sounds strong, but her breathing is off...:-( still my whitney, tho :-)
-
@NippyFan100 after 1996 her voice sounded different. Not much different but you could tell there was going to be problems down the road. For 1997 she sounded pretty damn good her. Her voice was amazing up till 2004. 2007-2009 it was great. 2010 wasn't consistant.
