Come ride along in touring class on a 2-day trip from Jasper, Alberta to Prince Rupert, British Columbia on VIA Rail Canada's Train No.5 known as the "Skeena." The train makes an overnight stop in Prince George before continuing on to Prince Rupert the next morning. The four-car train provided a panorama car and dome observation car "Kokanee Park" for touring class passengers. Beautiful weather provided a magnificent view of Mount Robson in the Canadian Rockies and fantastic scenery on both legs of the trip.

I am sad that there are not many people on the train. Great views and great experience I believe. However I guess the train is running at a loss.

I'm curious to why the train stops overnight instead of keep going?

where is Telkwa in the video

Too bad about the weather. At 20:21 there is a very tall waterfall [don't know its name], which is the tallest in North America which one may view from a train.

Why didn't they let you off at the station in Prince George?

Thanks for the great video - it brought back very happy memories of our own journey on The Skeena two years ago. Would love to make that trip again.
