Tablets only protect us against Iodine 131. Not against Cesium 134, 137, Plutonium, Uranium, and Strontium 90 radioactive particles.

LOL! maybe people ought to be advised to take 1/2 or 1/4 a tab instead of the full dose. That would cut down the risk of side effects by 50% and decrease the chance of succumbing to thyroid, breast or stomach cancers to a large degree. But, that's a critical thinking piece that governments don't trust in the hands of the people.
