United Airlines #891 LAX-NRT B777 Landing --------------------------------------------------------------------------- United Airlines flight 891 from Los Angeles International to Narita International airport. I sat in economy plus and it is soooo worth it! This Boeing 777-200, in particular, has on-demand video screens at every seat, hence the name "premium" on the safety card. Smooth landing. The pilot sounds like he's the boss of the sky. (listen to the ATC) Callsign: United 891 On an B772. To runway 16L. Premium economy. April 2011.

I've looked at a few of these videos, and I wish someone would be sitting on the other side of the plane, so I can see the NARITA sign. Been trying to show my son for a few months. Wish I had a video camera when I flew there.

thanks for the ATC, I've only done this approach in FSX, but not for real.... always the 34s. 16R is more fun for the terminal shots from that seat. Cheers!

United lets its passengers listen to the ATC through an audio channel using headphones. I'm guessing, the head phones were placed near the mic.

Great video thanks for posting. Its my dream to one day visit Japan! Whats cool about this video is how the landing is so quiet - no reverse thrust used. I like landings like that! They just quietly roll em on. Avoiding unnecessary reverse thrust prevents further wear & tear on the engines and saves fuel. And so cool you can hear ATC on this plane?? Only this airline has this facility?
