It is a mark of respect for the four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador to Libya, who were killed in an attack on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi. In Tokyo and Beijing, security was tight, with police out in force around the U.S. embassy. Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Osamu Fujimura offered his condolences to those killed in the attack.
