TXRD vs. TXRD2 - Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift 1 & 2 | Tokyo

HQ Version - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=si0WjpIhtRM&fmt=18 As the title states, this is a short comparison of TXRD and TXRD2; the two touge games from Genki released in the U.S. In the first part of the video when I hit the walls goin' around corners, I am turning the wheel but the car is not responding. The car simply doesn't turn very well on TXRD. Another noticeable characteristic of TXRD is how the cars pivot as if there is a pole through the rear axle of the car. The car's turning is unnatural and awkward. On TXRD2, the car is a lot more responsive to inputs like steering. The car is far more enjoyable to drive and much easier to control. The pivot point on the cars varies with each tuned setup - much more like in real life. This makes the cars more like a simulation rather than an arcade game - like TXRD. TXRD2 has much better physics, car selection, course/track environments, sound quality, and load times. If you liked TXRD, definitely check out TXRD2. If you didn't like TXRD, I would still buy a used copy of TXRD2 and try it out. why_spyder aka ShadowRacer The Xtreme Racers http://thextremeracers.freeforums.org/index.php ------- Drift/Touge Racing Tags ------ Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift TXRD Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift 2 TXRD2 Kaido Battle Kaido Battle 2 Chain Reaction Kaido Battle Touge no Densetsu / Kaido Battle 3 Kaido Racer Kaido Racer Import Tuner Challenge ITC Wangan Midnight ------- Extra Tags ------ Extreme Highway Mountain Racing

TXRD2: One of the few games where you can easily score over 35k points while drifting in an FF, especially on a V-TEC, yo.
-
I haven't played TXRD1 yet, but I know that the car handles like shit in TXRD2.
-
Tokyo drift 1 was cool the camra system actualy help. Its like cockpit veiw im 3rd person. When I got high enough and did fast drifting it was fun. Tokyo drift 2 kinda killed it for me. but I will always love these games... I dont know why there has not been one out since that street supremacy game.
-
This isnt anything i hoped for in a TXR game :(. Nice but not the thing i was hoping for, which is driving INSANELY fast through traffic while challenging these car-gang members and their bosses.
-
Is the story system in TXRD1 the same as TXRD2? TXRD2s is kind of annoying when you have to wait for every special driver to come out on certain days, it just takes too much time.

bastante mancuso el piloto!
-
how i unlock the porsche in the TXRD 2?
-
link download pls ?
-
I bought this game second hand for a few dollars and it is one of the most fun driving games I own. Genki Racing Project should make one more.
-
Check the forum in the video description.
-
how do you unlock the ae86 trueno in conquest mode for txrd 2?
-
@R6man15 It might be under the name Kaido Racer...
-
Where can i get these games from, im from the uk and ive tried on amazon and play.com but i cant seem to get my hands on them. Cheers.
-
@whyspyder TXRD 1 lets you drift easier, although it isn't really drifting (just brake, accelerate, and balance steering). And although TXRD 2 is more realistic, it's more of a "grip" game if you can't find your own ways of drifting.
-
@PolishedMetal I know right. The races were so much easier to beat in Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift 2.
-
@SiMgUrL1726 make ur own opinion about a game, dont just listen to IGN or Gamespot. I luv both these games and dont care wat they have 2 say. Besides, there like $5 used now so it wouldnt hurt to try them out.
-
TXRD1 sucks!
-
@SiMgUrL1721 ign and gamespot are biased know nothing about how cars are supposed to tune and handle. get some of them to try to drift properly in gt5 and they'll have a lot of trouble as well. IGN claim it's impossible to drift, when countless vids prove otherwise. Atleast this game doesn't have bullshit physics for a sim like gt4 & forza games and actually has good steering wheel support & is also way more fun.
-
@alexlam24 Well IGN and Gamespot game both games 4's and 5's out of 10, so the games have some major problems.
-
@thesecsy1 Well SiMgUrL1721 is my user name because I like playing the Sims. LOL Even when I wasn't drifting, I still banged on the walls a lot because the cars drove too slow for me. Therefore, I got rid of Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift 1 and 2. Drifting games are not my thing, but I'm good at playing racing games in general.
