When i flew on a plane for the first time when i was 6 my parents told me to keep my seatbelt on because if there is turbulence i might get thrown headfirst to the ceiling.

Typical stupid and immature incident caused by arrogant white supremacist's airlines which always disregard weather information, warnings issued by Japanese Meteorological Agency and Japanese ATC. Majority of domestic flights of Japan were following it then cancelled their flights but arrogant white men's airlines ignored it since they think it's stupid information of inferior species japs. TV news say even today about 300 flights are cancelled due to the severe weather, but white supremacists airlines disregard it again and maybe they get severe turbulence today again I guess. Ridiculous!

It's just a temporary loss of lift and a mighty fine reason to keep your seat belt securely fastened while seated.

Every time I've been on an airplane the pilots have given prior warning to the passengers over the PA system before we hit turbulence. They also enable the seat belt sign to make sure passengers are seated. I fly Qantas though, not sure if all airlines do this.
