#10 – Ride a bullet train Bullet trains (aka shinkansen) connect Tokyo to Kyoto, Osaka and more. The easiest way to ride is to get a JR Rail Pass http://www.japan-rail-pass.com/JR-Pass #9 – Visit an arcade These are everywhere in Akihabara (Electric Town), easy to get to via Tokyo Metro (i.e. Tokyo subway). #8 – Robot restaurant show This is located in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Also easy to get to via the metro. The website is all in Japanese, so I found the simplest way to buy a ticket was with Trip Advisor http://www.tripadvisor.com.au/Attraction_Review-g1066457-d4776370-Reviews-Robot_Restaurant-Shinjuku_Tokyo_Tokyo_Prefecture_Kanto.html #7 – Cat café There are multiple cat cafes in Japan and they're quite cheap to visit and you pay by the hour. I went to Cailco Cat Cafe, closest metro station is Kichijoji. http://catcafe.jp/ #6 – Owl café To my knowledge there are very few owl cafes in Japan. I visited Tori no Iru. Closest station is Kiba (Tozai line). http://www.whereintokyo.com/venues/25411.html #5 – Tokyo sky tree Here you can survey the jaw dropping complexity of Tokyo from high above. For what you see its quite affordable. Tokyo Skytree has its own station but it requires a few changes to get to from Tokyo's metro. http://www.tokyo-skytree.jp/en/index.html #4 – Japanese street food In my opinion, the best place to sample most of these is at Ameya Yokocho Market, which is featured here, located between Ueno and Okachimachi stations. http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e3012.html #3 – Harajuku This is one of the most interesting and colourful fashion spots in Japan. Also known for its cone crepes. The hub of Harajuku is Takeshita street, closest station is Meijijingu-mae. http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e3006.html #2 – Miraikan Museum Aka The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. Here you can see the most advanced humanoid robots in the world. Closest station is Tokyo Teleport. http://www.miraikan.jst.go.jp/en/ #1 – Temples and shrines There are more beautiful shrines and temples in Japan than I had time to visit or get footage of. Please remember to never film people praying or worshipping. In order, I've shown; - Fushimi Inari-taisha (orange gates, Kyoto) - Kennin-ji (Zen Buddhist temple, Kyoto) - Arashiyama (bamboo groves, Kyoto) - Kiyomizu-dera (Buddhist temple, Kyoto) - "Twin Dragons" at Kennin-ji (Zen Buddhist temple, Kyoto)
