TOKYO TRIP - Day 3 - Cory's hometown Yokosuka, and exploring the historic Kamakura area | Tokyo
Information | History | View | Sightseeing | Video
We were in Tokyo for 7 days, and vlogged our whole trip! This is Day 3, where we went down to Yokosuka (my hometown) and to Kamakura. It had been 20+ years since I had been in Yokosuka, and it was an amazing return back!!! Tokyo Trip Day 1: https://youtu.be/_OcEEIhuKYo Tokyo Trip Day 2: https://youtu.be/LLeGyw9MQLM Tokyo Trip Day 3: https://youtu.be/fxuGSHy_B1A Tokyo Trip Day 4: https://youtu.be/7K-H1KMDq-U Tokyo Trip Day 5: https://youtu.be/zJGC9auDxwU Tokyo Trip Day 6: https://youtu.be/1VMMdxYwVBg The trip to Yokosuka from Tokyo was about 80 minutes, including a transfer at Shinagawa Station. The great thing about traveling in the Tokyo/Yokohama area is that everything is so well connected by train and bus. Traveling by train is definitely the way to go for traveling around. In Yokosuka, we attempted to find my childhood home from 1984, but after an hour of searching we realized we didn't know enough info to find it, and we also didn't have enough time to dedicate to searching for it. During our visit to Yokosuka, we couldn't go on to United States Fleet Activities Yokosuka (also known as Command Action Fleet Activities Yokosuka CFAY). The security rules didn't allow us to get on base, since I was no longer a military dependent. We didn't know anyone in the area who was able to sign us onto the base. Knowing this, we kept our activities limited to the off-base portion of Yokosuka, visiting familiar haunts from my childhood, from 1984 ~ 1995. So many memories for me! love your vid, fun to watch!

Nice video! I used to work at the Yokosuka Base from 1990 to 1995. I noticed in some parts of your video that you may have been using something other than your GoPro Hero 4 mounted on a gimbal, as there were telephoto shots at a slower frame rate (30p instead of 60p), as well. Am I correct?

I'm excited with video 4!! I'll be going to Japan this coming January and your videos help me a lot - gave me a little bit of extra confidence on how to not look stupid in Japan lol :D I've been to Korea and in comparison with the trains - Japan trains are crazy. :D Thanks a lot for your videos! :)

you two being there makes me wish I was there, I love all the older buildings that you went too. I'm not Asian, but I did have a Korean lady who is a friend tell me that I must have been Asian in my past life that's why I love it so much. Anyway, I can't to see the next episode.
