This ticket lets you use the entire JR train system for an entire day for only around 2300 yen per person per day. The catch? You can only take local trains. You must also purchase a set of 5 tickets per purchase. However any number of people can use this one set, which means that if there are 5 of you, all you need is one set. @ 5:55 was me everyday riding BART from Oakland to San Francisco in '05/'06 (It goes UNDER the 'Bay! Yikes!) But please come see Northern California! Calaverez Big Trees! Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk! Downtown San Francisco! I lived on sutter in between post and Leavenworth! We walked Della to the church 3x's a day! And while you are here the drive-in Movies are worth renting a car to go to!! :) 6-flags! Marine world! etc!

When we took the "Chunnel" from London to Paris, we never had a chance to get worried about being under the water. They started feeding us on the train, and the meal was so good we never noticed being under water!
