Japan, Olympic, Games, 1964, 2020: the Yoyogi National Gymnasium (国立代々木競技場 ) is an arena located in Yoyogi Park, Tokyo, Japan which is famous for its suspension roof design. It was designed by Kenzo Tange and built between 1961 and 1964 to house swimming and diving events in the 1964 Summer Olympics. A separate annex was used for the basketball competition at those same games. It will also host handball competitions at the 2020 Summer Olympics. The design inspired Frei Otto's arena designs for the Olympic Stadium in Munich. Vic Stefanu, vstefanu@yahoo.com

You are correct that the National Olympic Stadium has been demolished but thankfully the building in your video is NOT that stadium. This is YOYOGI NATIONAL GYMNASIUM and it will be hosting handball in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The stadium that was demolished can be seen in the photos at the very bottom of this article http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2415102/Tokyo-host-2020-Olympics-International-Olympic-Committee-vote.html

Thankfully, this masterpiece has not yet been demolished. I was lucky enough to visit inside and out both the primary stadium, and the secondary, this year in an architectural preservation study by my University. Despite its age, it's still an impressive structure. I hope that talks of reuse go through, regardless of the sure to be incredibly attractive and culturally appropriate proposals of Kengo Kuma Architects.
