Funny how they celebrate Christmas to light up the dark season when Jesus came to this world as the Light of life. Most of what is celebrated today even in the Western world is not Christmas but Xmas. Two different things.

Yes, a lot of the Japanese aren't christian, but they do love traditions and celebrations as well as the western ones! They don't celebrate christmas for christianitys sake, they do it more for the gift-giving sake, and to light up a dark season. They have a tendency to adapt western traditions to their own, so Christmas in Japan isn't the same as Christmas in the western world :) The more you know!

Hilariously ridiculous marketing, only 0.5% of Japanese are Christian??
