The Hanzōmon Line is a subway line operated by Tokyo Metro. It extends from Shibuya to Oshiage in Sumida and features direct through service at both terminus to other railway companies. At Shibuya almost all trains continue traveling on the Tōkyū Den-en-toshi Line to Chūō-Rinkan, while at Oshiage some train services are using the Tobu Skytree Line to Tōbu-Dōbutsu-Kōen and further to Minami-Kurihashi on the Tōbu Nikkō Line or Kuki on the Tobu Isesaki Line. It is the second shortest subway line in Tokyo, however due to through operations trains can go directly the 98.5 km distance between Chūō-Rinkan to Minami Kurihashi - the longest train service on a Japanese subway line. The Hanzōmon Line is also designed to have several transfer stations to the Ginza Line to relieve its limited capacity problem. Between Shibuya and Aoyama-Itchōme both lines run parallel. The line is named after the west gate of the Imperial Palace (Hanzōmon), which in turn is named after 16th century samurai Hattori Hanzō, who was important to the founding of the shogunate which built the palace. The rolling stock is formed of trainsets of 3 different railway operators: Tokyo Metro: 8000 series, 08 series Tokyu: 2000 series, 5000 series, 8500 series, 8590 series Tobu: 30000 series, 50050 series Stations: 14 Daily ridership: 858,836 Opening: 1978 Owner: Tokyo Metro Depot: Saginuma (on the Tōkyū Den-en-toshi Line) Line length: 16.8 km Track gauge: 1,067 mm Electrification: 1,500 V DC overhead catenary Operating speed: 80 km/h Songs for this line: http://youtu.be/piEoKkiuG2k / http://youtu.be/wfGo6x6-3ho (Oshiage→Chūō-Rinkan) http://youtu.be/p2mGe3F49KU (Chūō-Rinkan→Minami-Kurihashi | Express) _____________________ 半蔵門線 (はんぞうもんせん)は、 東京都 渋谷区の渋谷駅から墨田区の押上駅までを結ぶ、 東京地下鉄 (東京メトロ)の鉄道路線。
