If you have ever been stuck at the Narita Tokyo International Airport during a layover - you're not the only one. Next time, leave the airport and discover Japan. Just a short train ride away, you will find the Shinsho-ji Temple in Narita, Japan. Simply go through customs and hop on the train - Keisei or JR lines both go to Narita. However, you can save some money by taking the Keisei Line. From the Keisei line, a short 1.2 km walk will lead you to the Shinsho-ji Temple. The temple is open from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, and it is completely free. Along the way, you will find quaint restaurants and shops where you can experience Japanese cuisine and buy something to remember your journey. Even if you have a longer stay in Japan, Narita is a wonderful small town to experience on the first or last day of your journey. With easy access to the airport, it is a great place to enjoy without the worry of a long journey to catch your flight.
