This feature documentary is a candid journey into the world of 4 young Canadian women who work as well-paid hostesses in exclusive Japanese nightclubs. Lured by adventure and easy money, these modern-day geisha find themselves caught up in the mizu shobai - the complex "floating water world" of Tokyo clubs and bars. Drawn by fast money, some women become consumed by the lavish lifestyle and forget why they came. One hostess calls it "losing the plot." With regards to the half dressed girls on stage, in one scene, the hostess says, this does not go on in Canadian Culture, WHAT? What the hell is a strip club then in Canada, where the girls get totally naked!

Watching how naïve Hilary (Blonde) is, and how she clearly lies about what she does (the inflection of her words rise) is hard to watch and more so embarrassing to see how 'Thick' a fellow Canadian is. Its just painful to see the blonde stereotype and North American mentality being proven right by a 24 year old girl to dumb to see how deep a hole she's in. ..or may be found in by police the next morning. Wow!
