Tokyo Gift Vending Machine: One Minute Shopping Spree ★ ONLY in JAPAN | Tokyo
Information | History | View | Sightseeing | Video
Christmas shopping can be stressful – but not today! I've found a Japanese Vending Machine that is perfect, making it easy for you to shop and save time -- and save money! There are over 650 of these King's Treasure Box (王様の宝箱) vending machines around Tokyo ー and what's inside may surprise you! I spoke with the creator and CEO of these special vending machines who gave me an inside look at the machine -- and all that treasure! Okay. Okay. I know it's lazy to shop for friends at a vending machine. I mean, it's the thought that counts, right? But there are advantages to shopping at vending machines. WHY SHOP AT A VENDING MACHINE? It's convenient. There are hundreds of these machines! It's easy. Just push the button. It's quick. Done in a minute. It's not your fault if they don't like it. Blame the machine! Oh, and it's super fun! THE HISTORY: Nakajima-san, the creator told me he made these machines because he loved Gachapon so much, that he wanted a 24 hour solution for adults. Normal gachapon machines are made of plastic and lack security so they are taken off the streets and locked away when the store closes. With his vending machine, he can play it any time! Basically he converted old book vending machine and turned them into package dispensing ones. He redesigned the buttons and racks inside, made them more stylish and easier to work. In the end, he made a bigger, 24-hour gachapon machine for adults. WHAT'S INSIDE? Nintendo DS (the main prize!) Walkie-talkie Watch set LED Light Audio Activated Glasses T-SHIRT with a mini speaker that plays a guitar! Battery Chargers for smart phones iPhone lens ... and much much more! WHY IS IT ONLY 1000 YEN? Since he buys in bulk and many toy and product makers want their goods featured in these machines, he gets great discounts and that allows you to get items valued at 1000 yen or more. Sometimes less. It's sort of luck. The most valuable is a NINTENDO DS! Is your neighbour blue eyed? It should be very strange for japaneses. Great video as always!

Brilliant. It shows how safe and respectful the culture is - over here?!, a vending stand up bar or this King's Treasure Box would not last 5 minutes in the night time.
Japan might be a difficult place for a foreigner to live in, but I think it is a good place. Maybe THE place where life is what we should all strive for :) -

We need to abduct this Nakajima guy and bring him to Europe. I hate not being able to shop out of hours or seeing unhappy ppl work on Christmas day when machines could do the work.
