Guys Akaneki is the original Kaneki, he was kind before his mom abused him and got bullied by kids at school, but after that he hid his cruel and sadistic nature but somehow he lost his memories of being abused by his mom, as mentioned by Rize, so he was his kind self, but since Kaneki remembered all these memories he returned to his real personality.
