That was on my birthday and I flew to Tokyo the next day.

Quake didn't scare me, but Fukushima did. (and still does!)

How creepy this earthquake against in 2011!

So, I'm glad in Japan we are always calm, even if a gigantic M100 hits. BUT sometimes it scares me because during the 3/11 quake, my home was shaking so much. but when my mom and I went outside right after, everyone was normal.. TOO normal. so I thought we had a poltergeist in our house :( but then I watched the news on my phone and it said shindo 7 so then I realized, it was a quake.. so.. it's good but scary when we are too calm LOL めっちゃ怖かったよね。アップしてくれてありがとう~

What a nice subway

Well it's a rare thing here so I can't blame em too much but after this last one, they should take it little bit more seriously.

I understand your point. I wouldn't wanna be on the subway in NY when an earthquake hit (they can hit up to about a 6.0, 3 fault lines are in Manhattan and they r active) cause the MTA severely dropped the ball when it came to earthquake safety and now they r trying to catch up. Out in LA when they built the tunnels for the subway the walls were made 12ft thick, they also used steel ties to reinforce the walls and the stations r built to move with the shock waves which minimizes the damage.

I've never been in an earthquake, last we had a little tremor that everyone went crazy for but it was nothing. If I was on a subway or on the station and an earthquake hit, the idea of being in a place isolated like that it would kinda bother me. I'm not too claustrophobic but there are times when I can get that way. I don't freak out I just start to to feel faintish. Being in a subway in an earthquake would get me that way faster.

the subway is the safest place to be during an earthquake. Look at Mexico City in 1985, San Francisco Bay Area in 1989, and Los Angeles in 1994. These 3 cities are in active earthquake zones and they all have subways. Do you know how much damage happened to these systems during the earthquakes..........NONE! Not a

Wow! the streets magically clean themselves! O.o
-
You got that shit right. I live in New York and I wish my subway was clean like this. But I'd tell ya this, subway is the last place I would want to be during an earthquake.

Calm down suction is probably just a troll
-
People were all so calm. It seems that this happens on a daily basis!
-
@suction Thus proving my point.
-
Everyone's acting very unconcerned, and in fact nothing major occurs, but the entire rail system did have to shut down after this quake, which stranded huge numbers of people while it wasn't functioning.
-
@ducktopia301 That's because they do something about vandals there! And they don't have a problem about punishing thier children.
-
@JKalama25799752 Ahhhh

@Thegreyraccoon They're used to it.
