Voted the best Japanese restaurant by City Link in 1998, Tokyo Bowl has locations in North Miami and Fort Lauderdale, both on Federal Highway. The small, efficient restaurant is best known for its $12.79 all-you-can-eat sushi special and its fast-food-style take-out window. While the juxtaposition of the terms fast-food and sushi could be cause for alarm, rest assured that the fish served at Tokyo Bowl is quite fresh. True to its name, the restaurant serves bowls of chicken, fish, beef and vegetables served over rice or noodles ($4-$4.50 each). The sushi-roll selection ($3.30-$3.90) includes the expected JB, California, Boston, tuna and vegetable rolls, along with a Mexican roll made of tempura shrimp, avocado and fish eggs, and an Alaskan roll consisting of salmon, avocado and cucumber. Sushi is also served in two-piece orders ($2.20-$2.50) or in combination platters ($8.20-$8.50). The restaurant offers only one dessert, tempura cheesecake, but it does sell sake, beer and wine. -- City Link (June 16, 2005) (954) 524-8200 1710 S Federal Hwy, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316 Serving South Fort Lauderdale
