I love the slow middle section of this song! I remember when my college concert band was playing it one season, I had just finished reading this awesome book by Brent Weeks called "Beyond the Shadows" and the piece reminded me of the very ending of the book where they were paying tribute of sorts (trying not to spoil the storyline >__<) to the heroine of the story. I swear this song was so perfect for that story, I nearly cried while playing the piece

This song is sooo beautiful
-
Just played this for wind ensemble, the first cornet part of the ballad is one of the most beautiful things I've ever played
-

-
Aye Lisle Band what up

Too slow. Great job, though
-
This 1st horn player has the tone in this song that I aspire to have...if that made any sense
-
I played this song with the Halton Senior Winds band in 2014... After playing this, when we walked of the stage I felt like I was floating above the ground. It's an amazing experience and a wonderful feeling playing with amazing musicians and making amazing music. I hope everyone gets to experience that at least once in their lives. Thank you Alfred Reed.

This song brings back so many memories, we played this at Tedd Man Music hall in the twin cities. I'll never forget this song.
-
played clarinet in this song in middle school concert band it was my favorite song
-
Playing tenor sax in this song for concert season I love it! The last song I'll be playing as a high school student
-
the middle slow section could really be a song of its own. I played this my senior year on tuba so naturally I dreaded playing it because we only had whole notes but I've grown to appreciate it more every time I listen.
