All of the Godzilla continuities are laid out. The official Japanese Godzilla website, Godzilla.jp, confirms that the Godzilla in this film is a second Godzilla after the 1954 Godzilla within this continuity, making Godzilla 2000 a direct sequel to the 1954 film. [note 2] The Kamoebas in Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. was a different Kamoebas who appeared in 1987. Sources: Most of these can be seen to be true from just watching the movies. With the Showa continuity, I noticed the Daikaiju Baran, Frankenstein vs. Baragon, War of the Gargantuas, and King Kong Escapes weren't shown, but they still appear in Destroy All Monsters. Was this part of Toho's canon or you didn't want to go into too much detail?

You just earned a sub mate
-
king kong vs godzilla the 3`rd godzilla movie
-
The Godzilla Timeline is Zelda levels of bullshit, js
-
Good God that is confusing. Even when explained it gives me a headache, although to be honest this is probably the clearest explanation I've seen to date.
-
I thought the Showa era had other movies connected to it. Like Frankenstein Conquers the World and Sanda vs Gaira and other movies.
I mean Manda is in it and they even know the monster. Which appeared in Atragon -
I heard legendary Godzilla and shin Godzilla might be in the same universe
-
Well that does make plenty of since. I admit though: Just cause it has the name I still don't think Tristar's Kaiju shouldn't be grouped here. Rather "Zilla" should be his own standalone cause he didn't exactly carry the "Godzilla" name to well. But I don't say this entirely out of malice as the 2014 film pretty much washed away the dissapointment I had from watching the film.

dude, u really nailed this time timeline explanation big time! great job!
-
Where is Varan the unbelievable
-
WAIT NOPE I watched shin gojira and it clearly states there was a gojira attack in 1954 and it wasn't the Godzilla in the movie cuz that one was made from some random g-cells from the OG and other chemicals and organisms etc.
-
WAIT I THOUGHT GODZILLAS REVENGE AND GODZILLA VS GABARA/SON OF GODZILLA Were the same thing remember that scrub
-
Actually the oxygen destroyer was used in Godzilla vs Megaguirus. It just failed to kill him. The Godzilla of that continuity was more powerful than the 1954 counter part. In fact the events happened but Godzilla himself was more powerful. I remember reading the official script and it stated that.

I'm wondering what the outro song is? I know it's a remix of the Godzilla theme, but I want to find that version!
-
How is Varan and Frankenstein VS Baragon not part of the Showa timeline?
-
I love Godzilla lol
-
Nice timeline video and know I'm going to ponder about this for 3 hours!

okay the time travel plot is not complex. I'm gonna lay it out cut and dry because I've seen so many people mess this up. 1 godzilla never got erased. if you watch the film all they did was move godzilla from Lagos and into the pacific, when they went into the past. they never "destroyed him" and because they chose an unlucky spot which would later contain radiation leakages which would still mutate the godzillasaur. thats why when they go back to the present day everyone including the main character who was writing a book on godzilla is still relevant. even Miki has visions of godzilla moments later after they supposedly erased him. which hints that nothing changed, except the mutation point. where godzilla essentially mutated. ghidorah replaced godzilla's spot on Lagos and godzilla mutated into the sea. its very simple if you pay attention. I got this information from Robert scott by the way, the actor who played M-11 in the film.

No legendary Godzilla is connected with 1954.It doesn't stand alone

And here I thought this video would make me confused but it didn't.
