The Cutest Owl Ever, at Japan's Owl Cafe | Tokyo
Information | History | View | Sightseeing | Video
Welcome to Japan's most famous Owl Cafe! Located just a few minutes south of Ikebukuro Station in Tokyo, Japan, the Ikefukurou owl cafe has fourteen owls for your viewing, photographing and petting pleasure. "Ikefukurou" is a mixed word of the name of town, Ikebukuro, and Fukurou, which means "owl" in Japanese. The place runs like clockwork as visitors are called in by name, given a short safety talk, and then allowed to spend the rest of the hour with the owls. The cover charge includes a fruit juice or beer for refreshment, and an hour with the owls. The staff is friendly and will even help you pose for photos with an owl on your hand or head. The friendly owls include an American eagle-owl, mottled owl, tawny owl, vermiculated eagle-owls, several species of stops owl, and a tropical screech owl. Only in Japan can one get so up-close and person to these cute, precious creatures. It is definitely worth a visit! I am proud to say this would never happen in America!
-
what is the first owl full name?
-
No offense but that cafe is like animal abuse. they CHAIN wild animals that are suppose to be sleeping at that time but make them stay awake so that people can pet them?? but the owls are so cute.
-
WHAT BREED? SO KAWAI
-
Disoriented wild birds kept chained in unnaturally close proximity, being constantly touched by a stream of humans in exchange for money... is this really Japan?? What next? Cute Asian children chained up in a line for your customers' cuddling pleasure?

I want five of them, Now ship them to my house!
-
That owl has made my day.
-
Is this a saw-whet owl? This poofy wonder is charming...

"Only in Japan can one get so up-close and person to these cute, precious creatures." Yeah. Only in Japan. Ever wonder why that is, Japan? Because everyone else in the world knows these magnificent hunters do not belong chained up in a 'cafe' being handed around to random people. Nothing cute about it.
