Thanks Ralph I completely agree, its heart leaping when you stumble over a book that is right on the nail of your area of interest....a modern day browse experience is in comparison quite dull...Thanks for sharing..

Such a lovely building, we don't get to see things like this in my area. Everything's been modernized. The saying put with the old. I agree about the books with the digital age swallowing the physical so many good things are disappearing. I love going to my uncles house and seeing the shelve of old books, but more the shelves of old photo albums. I think with how easy it is to take a picture/video and upload them, we forget how precious they are. Just my opinion

Well done again Ralph. There is something about a book their electronic equivalents can't duplicate. Although I often buy books I've managed to resist buying them in electronic form. They just lack .....something. I'm sure many of us feel the same way and the book will have a future. Not so sure about the bookshop. They probably will need an online presence to continue.

You have found a treasure of a shop, we used to have a similar establishment in Hull, now long gone sadly. The book on Dartmoor reminded me of Wainwrights guides of the fells. I too love maps, and can study them for ages.

There's nothing else like exploring a great old bookshop.
Most of ours here are gone now... but one of my favorites, which closed a few years back, has made a surprise return. In a different location, but once inside I'd never know the difference... they managed to recreate the same jumbled layout... there's even the same cat lounging in the reading area. -
Nice video Ralph very interesting to see modern day vestiges of the past
All the best,
John.
