Information | History | View | Sightseeing | Video
High-quality and longer version of this popular video I uploaded in 2007. The Tokyo Marathon 2007 finish line featured various entertainment. One of them were these incredible taiko drummers. The taiko troupe's name is Kodaijin 鼓代神 and they are available for hire. Web site at www.geocities.jp/kodaijin_kdj/Photos: http://photoguide.jp/pix/thumbnails.php?album=489

There's nothing like hearing and feeling the rumble of the drums from a mile away. They will power you through the miserable runs.

Awesome, thanks for upload

When performing at a marathon, Taiko troupes generally do substitute drummers. Makoto taiko played for three hours straight during the LA Marathon, substituting drummers every 25-30 minutes.

yowwww... I can see how this could be a major boost to a runner. the pounding of those drums are screaming, "go go go go go!"

Wow, that's endurance. Did they at least work in shifts?
