Wait the Tokyo subway isn't 24 hours!? lol
-
Tokyo Metro is like Lagos Blue Line
-
If only the NY subway was like this! But NY barely takes care of it's subway tracks and people often throw trash on the tracks. XP
-
They call 1/100th of a second "micro-second"???? Can't believe such big broadcaster made such basic mistake. One microsecond is actually 1/1,000,000th of a second, not just 1/100th of a second.
-
Only if Sony pushed with this much efficiency, we wouldn't see Samsung today.
-
BART and MUNI need this.
-
It may seem nice, but Japanese railways are fucking confusing and convoluted! The boneheaded engineers need better designers.
-
love those barriers just like they care about jumpers
or those pushed :) -
YES IT IS WONDERFUL, BUT THEY LOOK SOOOOO STRESSED, SAD AND SUICIDE RATES ARE WAY UP THERE IN JAPAN. REMEMBER, WE STILL ARE HUMANE AND NOT ROBOTS.
-
FABULOUS!! The Wash DC Metro needs to learn how to do this!!!
-
190 milliseconds, not 19 microseconds. That's a 10000x difference.
-
salute to the employees.. it's not only about works but also dedications..

急停車放送が旧営団地下鉄の車内放送の音声、清水牧子さんの音声だ
この音声を聞くと、営団地下鉄時代を思い出す。懐かしい。 -
Damn, the Japs do everything to perfection.
-
Love Japan!
-
Every major metropolitan American city should learn from the Japanese. Just think how much better transit would be in place like New York or California. Any place really.

i live in jakarta, trains in jakarta is the most on time trains in the world,..
-
People who've ridden on Japanese trains know how accurate they are on time. "I was late to work because the train didn't come on time" will usually never fly (I mean, what other rail systems in the world hand out Delay Certificates to customers for their train being late?). However, do people know WHY the Japanese train system is so strict on time? Sure, excellent training and extremely high standards are important factors, but the real reason is because of the Japanese Royal train. When the Royal train departs from the Imperial Palace (they have their own train station), they have right of away all the way to their destination. Which means public transit trains have to depart and arrive exactly on time, or they possibly face delays because of having to give right of away to the Royal train. This is why they have such high standards on punctuality in the first place.
