Information | History | View | Sightseeing | Video
Kawaii Japanese fashion brand SPANK! celebrated its 9th anniversary in summer 2013 in Tokyo. Brand founder Tavuchi describes the theme of SPANK! as "80s pop disco". SPANK! is famous in Japan for its mix of fairy kei, kawaii resale, 1980s toys, and an all-around colorful fun spirit! We see "Spank Girls" on the streets of Harajuku often! The SPANK! 9th Birthday Party featured lots of colorful and fun Japanese fashion along with music, singers, DJs, the Spank!Girlz, and more. Check out our video from the party, and join us in wishing SPANK! a happy 9th birthday - and many more to come! Please subscribe to the Official TokyoFashion YouTube Channel for more fun videos! Tavuchi, the owner of SPANK!, enjoys traveling around to other countries to buy fashion for her shop - and she loves talking to people from many countries. Maybe the flags show her love for cultures around the world! Just guessing! :-)

Yeah, we are too! It's getting more difficult for the little indie brands with all of the big international companies opening shops in Harajuku and other hip areas, but we are very happy to see these small indie Japanese brands fighting on!

Tavuchi - the founder of SPANK! - loves to travel around the world and she loves international things (including cute 1980s toys, characters, and TV shows). I guess she loves Panama too! :-)
