please do not install the dish without using a triple section ladder, the dude is stretching so much and unbalanced. Look how far away he is from the wall. triple section ladder would bring you closer to the dish, also you can 'eyebolt' the ladder to the wall. if that ladder he's using goes, so will he, with the dish and all.

This house was pre-wired for a satellite installation. You will see by the dish a low-voltage box framed in the home. This house also has a 2x10 installed behind the stucco to support the mast of the satellite dish and a ground wire inside the low-voltage box along with 4 RG6 Quad cables. But still a very good point Jake.

Wrong way to install a dish, dish is not to be installed on the side of the house unless it's wood that was stucco also dish needs to be grounded to the house ground rod, you shouldn't run coax through the mast you chance damaging your coax,

Great video. I do satellite installations in Toronto, Canada for the two Canadian companies (Bell TV and Shaw Direct). I would only add one important piece of information - when you are mounting the pole/mast, it has to be perfectly vertical/plumb. This is THEE most important part of the dish install itself, especially when a dish is picking up multiple satellites.

You will need two diplexers in order to diplex any band. The diplexers are installed on the same cable with the input jacks pointed toward each other. The out put jacks wire to each device that either transmits or receives the frequency you one to share on the cable.
