Thankfully no one was hurt, I couldnt give 2 shits about some rich assholes boat.

Though it's a small tsunami the waves are powerful and destructive.

California is quite unprepared for a big earthquake or tsunami. Much of this could have been prevented with the proper infrastructure, but at a cost, of course. If you look at a satellite image, you can see that the harbor has no breakwater, such as concrete slaps or tetrapods, that overlap and allow for an inlet. Japan has these structures located all over the place, and can afford to do so due to its small geographic footprint and high population per square mile. But, even Japan can not surround every coastal city and inlet with breakwater. I am not even sure if a breakwater is feasible or would have helped in the case of the devastated town, Minamisanriku, Sendai Japan, now known for its famous amateur hilltop video of the entire town getting washed away. If California tried to do everything Japan has done for natural disaster prevention, they would be even more broke then they already are. California has done a good job at important locations, such as at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. The breakwater there is quite extensive.

Never ever be curious about witnessing a (fire, tornado, tsunami, etc...) disaster.... better to live to tell the story, then be the story the living tell about.

Little dumb asses don't want to leave fuck them!

God, just watching this and knowing about the Cascadia Faultline, it will be right up there with the 1960, 2004, and 2011 earthquake and tsunamis. Hurricane's Katrina and Sandy will have nothing on this.

WATER IS THE STRONGEST THING...WATER DESTROY EVERYTHING...LOOK AT JAPAN. ..
-
The amount of strength the waves had amazes me , the epicenter was about 5,200 miles away. Jeez
-
Stupid is as stupid does. "Leave the Harbor." They all stand there. Retards.

高そうなボートが・・・なぜ予め沖に避難しないのだろうか?
-
THIS KIND OF THING SURE FLOAT THE BOATS, AND JUST PLANE UP SET THINGS
-
Ummm....why were people flocked on a bridge? Aside from being on a boat in the water - that's the LAST place hundreds of people should be gathered to watch. It's kinda like gathering on the top of a building to watch a powerful earthquake, that's just dumb.

get fucked

"Hey boats.....FUCK YOU." -Mother Nature

the people who live close are very lucky that that was a mini one, if it wasn't that would be horrible,
-
the most annoying thing is when people won't stfu with "oh my god" ya hello it's a tiny wave, your God doesn't care about any of that. also it's the same people who will turn around and criticize Arabs for saying "Allah akbar" it's the same thing morons
-
That tsunami was tiny it wasn't even a foot tall
-
