The Sanja Matsuri (Sanja Festival) is a festival held every year in Asakusa, Tokyo. Asakusa is a major tourist area in Tokyo, with many tourists going to see the Senso-ji temple and all the souvenir shops. With this festival, it's even more busier. The festival is held every year in May, and it was really nice seeing the portable shrines (mikoshi) and the atmosphere. Of course my favourite part of any festival here is the festival food! I had a BBQ pork skewer and a rainbow shaved ice (Kakigōri (かき氷)).
