The world rankings of South Korean universities have plummeted according to a U.K. report. According to the Times Higher Education's 2015 World University Rankings, Seoul National University came in 85th, sliding from 50th last year. POSTECH (Pohang University of Science and Technology) was ranked 66th in 2014 but nosedived to 116th this year, while KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) plunged to 148th from 52nd. The U.S.'s California Institute of Technology stayed on top for the 5th year in a row with the U.K.'s University of Oxford climbing up a notch from last year to land at second place. Harvard dropped from last year's second to sixth this year.
