Quake!!! Japan 3-11-11 Earthquake from 30th floor in Shinjuku (Tokyo 11.3.11 ) | Tokyo
Information | History | View | Sightseeing | Video
totally raw filmed during the first aftershock on 3/11/11. take a look out the window at 1:15sec and you can see how much the skyscrapers are swaying and moving. Also, listen to the sounds of the building groan and creak as it moves. Scary indeed. Heck of a day to score a room upgrade and get put on a high floor.

What amazes me the most, is the quality of glass work. Nothing shattered, nothing fell out of frames - whoever make it, did a very good job.
-
Hilton Tokyo Japan i was there.
-
Just occurred to me that no other country on earth would have prerecorded "large earthquake" public announcement...
-
wow was everything ok
-
Welcome to Japan lol but hey the buildings are safe. Japan built it well and the thirtieth floor huh, I'm jealous. Yeah I'm used to it when it happens I just chill and watch YouTube even snack like its normal lol
-
U were at Hilton Hotel Shinjuku.....
-
I thought the announcement was going to say:
"To our valued guests, yes it is an earthquake, but, for a 30% discount, please stay in your rooms." -
nice place to travel. but not during a mega quake . mega quake means 10+m quake. not happend yet. but will happen in japan surely.

Live in China, Have some friends in Japan... Hopefully current situation isn't as bad as this one. Have not heard from anyone yet. It must be stressful. The announcement takes so long in first non-english warning...I would have just been so concerned until I heard version I could understand!

Science Friction at it's worst, I have been in a number of earthquakes the biggest being a 6.3 in California and that was not a nice experience at all

If you have to experience a quake like this, Tokyo is the place to be.
