Was fun performing it as our opener in 1982 Cavaliers.

My high school's top band played this piece but in a faster tempo. God....the piano part was quite challenging, but this piece is by far the best piece I had ever played at high school.
-
If you look at the playlist of all the music this orchestra plays, it reads like the entire Drum Corps International (DCI) music catalog....They've played just about everything Drum Corps have played over the years

Pines of Rome is meant to be much slower. Should be Crotchet = 60

The French Horns add so much sass to the first movement. That's the only way I can put it.

Very nice! Wonderful musicians.

This arrangement is so amazing! Especially love the finale, it's so friggin' powerful. I love the orchestral version, but the finale alone takes the cake for me.
-
Talk about long, but listening to this was definitely not a waste of time!
-
Dat Horn in the begining!!!
-
Hell yes! Also more recently Boston Crusaders 2012, who did a fine job with it.
-
Ah, but still, probably the best recording of this I've heard!!

Star of Indiana 1991. :)
-
Not, They are professional musicians. :)

This is simply outstanding! Is it true this band consists of middle-highschool players?
