Cool vids!

Why is the video quality so poor? It seems low resolution and over-compressed.

My best Olympic opening ceremony, I am proud of you China. I hope other country could show the world something as good as this though.

100多年积压的屈辱和心中的委屈,终于在这一天开始爆发

I have been alive to see 4 Olympics It could have been 5 but I was born in 1997. And the best Olympic introduction I have seen was this one. 2008 was a good year. I was 11 or 12 year's old at the time. And I remember how inspired I was watching the opening ceremony live. it was so good. I was so happy to see the whole thing and I remembered talking about it to people I know and everything.

曾看到一句话:中国给奥运会开了个坏头,他让很多发展中国家都以为能办好好奥运会。这句话在开幕式是成立的,事实上,外国对中国的讨论和关注就是以奥运会为分界点的,可以明显地感觉到

I love how each country has their own story to tell, and their unique way of showcasing it no matter how poor or rich they are. Stop comparing. Opening ceremony not a competition, the competition is the actual events. I loved Barcelona (I remember being so young and awe struck my first games), I loved Atlanta (I was home in US back then and went to games as it was nearby, first time in stadium you can imagine how excited I was). I loved Sydney (song still sticks), I loved Athens (brought tears to my eyes, a country who first held Olympics... Struggling financially but managed greatly for an anniversary). I loved Beijing (great culture). I loved London (a country I moved to and grew to love, your welcome to ppl is amazing please don't change because of politics, it was the hospitality that made this Olympics great for me after both my grandparents passing that year), and I am loving Rio (poor country, but you are showing the world what you can do).

Most of china was CGI on television.
Why dont they show the Chinese govt. officials kidnapping children and making them property of the state? They then force them to become athletes and putting them through training that is equal to torture. Images can be found on the internet of chinese trainers standing on the knee caps of little girls to make them more flexible, as they scream in agony. They also make the boys hangs from a bar with their arms twisted in painful positions. They too cry in agonizing pain as their trainers practically torture them.
China is a sick fucking Cou try that has lost all face decades ago -
