i wouldn't exactly say it's a relatively new sport to the women as im pretty sure it started waayy back. but yeah, i do agree that the best football nations are from either europe or south-america however, when it comes to women's soccer, USA is sure as hell strong. can't speak the same for the men's team though. so yeah, cheers :)

apparently, the uswnt won 9 algarve cups, 4 olympic gold medals and won the wc twice in 1991 and 1999. and they are currently ranked first in the world by the fifa women's world rankings.....
