The outing was closed to the press, so exactly what they talked about is unknown. What they ate, however, was no doubt fabulous as the restaurant of choice was Sukiyabashi Jiro in Tokyo's Ginza district. "Thank you. That's some good sushi right there. It's terrific. Thank you so much." [Obama] The accolades the restaurant's been awarded are among the most sought after in the industry and include a 3-star Michelin rating. Owner and head chef, 88-year-old Jiro Ono, is often called the greatest sushi chef in the world and is the topic of a 2011 documentary. People wait months for the opportunity to try a 20-piece assortment selected by the master himself. The minimum price for the experience is 300 dollars per person. Upon his departure from the restaurant, President Obama certainly did seem pleased with his experience.
