Testing out my new toy! Time lapse goes 1.5 hours into the Nozomi Shinkansen N700 bullet train service from Tokyo to Kyoto, which continues on to Osaka. Here the high speed ride is compressed into one minute. Next time, I'll catch the remainder of the 2 hr, 20 min trip. The Nozomi is just a bit faster than the Hikari train that is covered by the JR Rail Pass. At 300 km/h (186 mph), it's not the fastest train in the world but it's still fast! On the way to Kyoto, sit on the right side to catch Mount Fuji. Filmed with Sony FDR-X3000 4K action cam. Loving it so far. For my purposes, it sure beats the GoPro.
