Didn't furuta see what happened between kaneki and rize at that moment? She was trying to kill him. No wonder that was a clear picture as to how she would never be in a relationship with kaneki. Furuta dropping the steel girdles seems absolutely absurd if he were, by any means targeting kaneki. /

I honestly think there is more to Furuta, than him doing things because he wants to. There's missing details in Furutas story which is why I think he is lying. For example, when did he even undergo the ghoulification surgery?? Maybe the reason he dropped the steel girders on Rize was to take her to Kanou and obtain her powers? Also his hunt for the one eyed king is probably more complex than him seeking for someone to blame, because after he defeated Eto he states that he can achieve his goals either way now. I think there are easier ways to marry Rize than doing all that lol.
