Given its use of leather and water-repellant synthetics, it wouldn’t have been particularly odd if Nike had decided to put the rugged Air Presto Mid Utility on the back burner for the spring/summer season before bringing it back for Fall/Winter 2017. Instead, however, the Swoosh has opted to modify the shoe’s construction to make it more appropriate for the rising temperatures and more moderate weather of the spring and summer seasons. In place of its aforementioned leather and synthetics, the latest rendition of the Air Presto Mid Utility is, in a way, a scaled-down version of its coveted ACRONYM x NikeLab counterparts and couples an OG-esque toe box with a breathable mesh collar that’s flanked by zippers on both the lateral and medial sides. As per usual, the Presto’s familiar sole unit is present alongside the silhouette’s molded heel counter and lacing-assisted midfoot cage. Debuting in a Dark Grey/Max Orange/Black/Wolf Grey/White combo, the Spring/Summer 2017 edition of the Air Presto Mid Utility is already available via NSW spots like atmos in Tokyo.
