► This is "Nakadori Shotengai" in Tamachi - Minato-ku, Tokyo. It's one of those characteristic Tokyo-neighborhoods which offers that typical charming mix, of very old and new small establishments for drinking, dining.... and then some drinking. Everything is located within a small maze-like area of alleyways which are fun to explore, and it's heavily populated by office-drones after 8pm, so if you wanna make sure to get a table, go early. When you first arrive at Tamachi station by Yamanote Line, all you see is rather boring tall, grey office-buildings - which may inspire you to turn on your heel, and jump back on the train to go someplace else. But that would be cheating yourself for a genuine Tokyo experience. Instead take the "Mita Exit", cross the mainstreet, and behind the office buildings, you'll find this interesting, supergenki place.
