A dream come true? Culture shock? What's it like when you finally make the big move to Japan? Christina shares stories from her first year living in Tokyo! Christina grew up in Quebec, Canada. She moved to Japan after graduating from McGill university. She's now a third year student at Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo, the top ranked fashion school in Japan. In this third episode of "My Fashion School in Japan Story", Christina shares her experiences during her first year of living in Japan. She covers a lot of things from first arriving and getting her alien registration card, moving into her apartment to getting a phone and setting up a bank account, riding the trains, going to language school, getting a job in Japan, and making friends. Christina also shares some personal stories about her first year in Japan - including talking about how the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami affected her decision to stay in Japan, and how some of her friends reacted differently. It was hard to condense a year down into a single episode, so please let Christina know if you have specific questions or if there are things about getting used to living in Japan or Japanese language school that you would like to know more about. In the next episode, Christina will talk about completing language school and starting her life at Bunka Fashion School. As always, she'll also be happy to answer any of your questions about Bunka specifically, fashion college in general, or life in Japan.
