It is real and there are quite a bit of studies that argue whether or not its best to duck and cover. First rule of thumb is stay calm, which she has obviously mastered. Mom, if your reading this...you're an amazing mother

obviously those who have commented that it was staged, never experienced a major earthquake and makes stupid such remarks. for the post telling the public to run out of your building when you are in a major earthquake IS DEAD WRONG! you get under a sturdy table or doorway away from windows and tall furniture that may fall-this comes from a person who experienced big earthquakes. Tell me that all those youtube videos that brave people took while the march 11th earthquake was all fake.

Okay, moms are absolutely amazing, really! But if you watch this a couple of times, it looks like nothing is REALLY moving. Seems easily staged. Sound edited and flickering lights.

She would not be dead or anything. Look at the straw right in front of the camera in his glass. Nothing is shaking but the cameraman. Sound is edited. Pretty easy to detect guys.

if you are in a mall or in a big shopping center it's better to stay in.

If the building had collapsed, she would be dead. Its always better to get outside to a wide open place, then hiding under a table or in a building doing nothing... (sorry for my terrible english)
