MICHELIN STARRED RAMEN in Japan | Tokyo
Information | History | View | Sightseeing | Video
Tsuta is one of Tokyo's most revered ramen shops. After gaining much acclaim locally for their shoyu and shio soups, they were awarded a Michelin Star, the first ramen shop in the world to do so. Their popularity means that there is a special ticketing system in place. Come in the morning, get a ticket, and return during your ticket's time. Despite having to jump through these hoops, Tsuta is worth it. Truffle oil? lol.....why though? thats what you add to a terrible dish to make it sound cool. Truffle oil doesn't even taste of truffles, it tastes like gasoline.

Slurping is one of the right ways to eat ramen, just slurps it till end of the noodles parts u eat then drink up the soup after it. Do not bite it or cut it.
-
I went there this summer and it was very good. Like extremely good.

Benedict Cumberbatch loves ramen. -IGN Confirmed

I went to this shop a week before they got the michelin star.
I have to say, I've ate tons and tons of ramen... this is honestly mediocre. -

To be honest, this Michelin thing doesn't really mean a thing, it doesn't guarantee the best possible food of it types out there. It's just some gatekeeping shit in the "gourmet" industry, but people are really going crazy about it. Believe me you can have a food taste better than the one Michelin certified.
