Maid Cafe | Tokyo
Information | History | View | Sightseeing | Video
Royal Milk is a themed 'maid' cafe. You'll find them in abundance in Akihabara, where they are frequented by otaku-types. The sometimes cute, not often hot waitresses dress in skimpy French-maid outfits and treat you as the lord of the house. Feel free to play board games, eat the bear shaped cakes, or try your luck with their special version of omurice. Have a memorable experience practicing your nonexistent Japanese. Among Japanese people, only otaku nerds go, so be sure to play off your visit as a study of Japanese culture. There's a big difference between those who tries so hard to be part of the Japanese culture, like they're so addicted it (weaboos) and those that just enjoy the culture and is enthusiastic in learning about it. In other words, there's both the fanatics and those who knows the difference between too much Japanese culture in their lives.
