Good price for the 2 kilos of chicken. 780 Yen (7.58 US Dollars). I would load up on cheap chicken breasts and stir-fry them with diced onions, garlic and a lot of sriracha sauce. Serve over rice. Something nice instead of the baloney sandwiches, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, potatoes, hot links, spaghetti and ramen that made up my budgeted diet. Trying to find good fruits and vegetables for cheap was more difficult.

this is like Norwegian prices

In Australia 2kgs of chicken breasts would cost about 20 dollars. Yep that's cheap.
