Last minute topics for Group A and Group B JETs heading to Japan | Tokyo

If you want to ship some stuff to yourself in Japan (instead of finding room for it in your luggage - like your winter clothes), then head over to http://Japanjuku.com and check out the International Shipping topic in the Moving to Japan section of the Forums. Good links for shipping there. The Tokyo Orientation video I mentioned is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phRWYdDWmwo and The Last Minute Packing video is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8qtXgt22F0 Good luck to all those new JETs in the 2010-2011 year! All my best. -Jason PS - Thumbnail is me at my very first school enkai in 2004. Notice the tan suit. Guys - don't bring a tan suit to Japan. No Japanese men wear tan suits. Especially to school functions like graduation when you're required to wear a suit. You'll stick out even more than you already do. Bring a dark suit, preferably black, to Japan.

In the movie its at the Park Hyatt but I wasn't really sure if that was actually where the bar was. Can't wait to find it!!! Hopefully in 2013!

@mostawesomestjes yeah - I'm so not looking forward to the heat and humidity when I move back in September....

All your videos are very helpful. I will definitely watch these videos again when I finish my degree and apply to be a CIR with the JET programme. Some of your videos are relevant to Japan in general and I'll use the knowledge for my year abroad. I like the JET diary, looking forward to getting myself one of those :)

@brollicon it helps if you can learn some basics in your home country before going to Japan - learn the hiragana and katakana and basic vocab and grammar and you'll be set once the immersion of living there sets in.
