Joon's First Trip Abroad! 3 Days In Tokyo, Japan (준이의 첫 해외여행으로 일본 도쿄에 다녀왔어요) Both my wife and I love traveling, and we've traveled quite a bit even after Joon was born, but we'd never taken Joon with us when we went abroad. But it was finally time! He is finally old enough (2 years and 5 months old) to at least vaguely understand the concept of long-distance flights, so we decided to take him on a short 3-day trip to Japan. Somehow I love it every time Joon says or responds to something in English. It’s like another small triumph for bilingualism.
Escalator is a really hard word. I wonder if it would be easier for Joon with a backwards buildup: “tor…lator…calator…escalator.” (Well, he'll get it eventually.)
