4. lamentablemente como muchos deportes el karate en muchos lugares ya es un negocio para generar dinero y no para lo que supuestamente debe ser las cintas implican pagar el examen y a los dojos le importan que den examen para generar dinero y los colores no son realmente lo que deberia saber el alumno hay muchos cinturones negros que no llegan a un verde y eso se debe a que cualquiera obtiene los colores tan solo dando un examen tras otro despues se ve reflejado en la calidad de el karate

7. to those who are regularly learning and training karate or any kicking and punching arts, is it enough for self defence just to focus on developing punching force and focus training on front, side, round, and turning back kicks?

9. I think karate nowadays has been look down upon because of the people who organize the rules of kumite. If there they could allow a more variety strikes in this style of kumite e.g elbows, knees or hook punches and make it a full contact art then I believe many people will see how dangerous karate can be (of course, pads should be worn for safety). WKF has really made karate more of a game of tag than an actual martial art. I believe karate kumite should involve more movements like in the katas so then more karatekas know how to apply them on an opponent who fights back. Also, if for some reason WKF has to stay, then I think they should make a new federation for a full contact shotokan karate, like how taekwondo has WTF and ITF
10. I wanted to learn shotokan, but didn't have a dojo in my area, so I'm settling with Kyokushin now. OSU!

18. These guys have real skill. Notice how they are NOT hopping around like a bunch of rabbits on crack!! Much better than most of the garbage you see in WKF tournaments
19. been karate training for a year but i still cant fight cause we do kata and choreographed pair work and hardly any free sparring.
