People won't typically break laws in Japan because of culture, and the criminal justice system is terrifying.

Japanese vending machines are like the best thing EVER. They're everywhere. The drinks are cheap and yummy. I miss them so much an I wish we had vending machines just like that in our country.

What sort of quality can you expect from vending machine items like rice or eggs? How often are they used compared to the supermarket?
-
That's too good to be true

+emmymadeinjapan , can you have water from the tap, in the kitchen? Or the water isn't good/healthy to drink?
I can't stop watching your neighbourhood videos, they are great!

Wow the rice even comes out in a bag! That's pretty amazing. I'd love to have some of these here! (Netherlands) especially the hot drinks one!

I have a question, if they are selling alcohol beverages in vending machines (I haven't seen that in Poland), a kid can just go by, put in money and take whatever they want just like this? Or it's just not a problem there?

Hey Emmy, great video :-) love to hear more about life in Japan in general
I'm from Israel and we have lots of drink and cigarettes vending machines.
I was wondering, since in Japan, there are a lot of vending machines that sell fresh produce (i.e. bananas, eggs and others...) Can you trust the quality of the products? are they always fresh?
Does the products that are left for a few days get thrown away?

Wouldn't underage people be able to buy smoke & beer if it's in a vending machine
-
The machines have a scanner for a card you need to have. It's not so much ID because you can get them or you can leave them if you don't smoke or drink. But you do need to have it in order to use those machines. (I assume that you need to be over the legal age to register for the card)
